"I am compelled by the love of God to share my particle of light with God’s creation in Chiluvuru, India. I bother to be involved because God bothers" |

"Involvement with the Menno-Clinic is a wonderful way to reestablish connections with the country of my childhood. Subbarao & Olga have been a real inspiration to me in their faith & vision out of which this project has been born. I count it a privilege to have been asked to serve on the Board of this cross-cultural Christian endeavor." |

"In one respect, I serve on the Menno Clinic-India board due to my position as lead pastor of Emma Mennonite Church. However, I also serve because this ministry is a tangible way to share the love of Christ." |

"Serving Christ causes us to look beyond our comfortable boarders and recognize the broader need. In all that we do may we give honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ." |

"I feel it is a privilege to serve on the Board of Directors for Menno-Clinic, India. This gives me the opportunity to extend my time and resources to help meet the physical and spiritual needs of persons on another part of the world. When each of us does what we can, much can be accomplished." |

“Acts chapter 10 records the baptism of Cornelius and his household by Peter. When one reads this entire account it is sometimes difficult to discern who is transformed more by this event, Cornelius or Peter. While I had the privilege of baptizing Subbarao “Doc” and Olga Yarlagadda, I often think that their life and testimony has had a greater impact on me than I have had on them. Working with them in developing their vision of caring for the community in which they grew up in the name of Christ continues to be a highlight of my ministry experience. Their faith and commitment to the gospel message of peace and ministry to the poor has been nothing short of inspiring and transforming for me.” |

I was fortunate to have been raised by parents who both had hearts for mission. My inspiration for serving on the Board of Directors comes from both Olga and Doc. Olga was willing to donate the property she inherited, that the clinics were later built on. We all know of competent Indian doctors who came to America to practice medicine and surgery to make a better life for themselves and their families. Doc and Olga could have done likewise. Both of them are so willing to expend their energy and talents to provide a better life for the Indian people. Any contribution I can make by serving on the Board would be like the proverbial "drop in a bucket" compared to what they are doing. |

"Having lived in both the old country (India) and the new country (America), Olga and I have a unique role to play. We can vividly bring the needs of the people we have left behind to the American people who are so richly blessed. We have a dual role. In the new country, 'we afflict the comforted,' and in the old country, 'we comfort the afflicted.' It's to serve Christ in the poor we are here. It's to glorify God that we are here. |
